Template:Infobox Merchandise Line Mini Racers is a secondary toy line made by Mattel after the introduction of Cars 3. Mini Racers succeeded the Micro Drifters, which in turn had succeeded the Mini Adventures, to compliment the Main-Line 1:55 cars. Mini Racers are constructed of Metal and have rotating wheels for propulsion. Their aspect ratio is interesting; they appear a bit shorter in length (compressed wheel base, minimal front/rear overhangs), but taller in height than the mainline cars. Their scale is somewhere between 1:87 (think HO model railroad scale) and 1:110 (1/2 of the mainline scale).

The Mini Racer line primarily featured Cars 3 characters at it's introduction in 2017. However, in time it grew to include characters from the original Cars film, Cars 2, Mater's Tall Tales, and Cars on the Road.

    • Metallic Rusteze Cruz Ramirez is often referred to as the Aussie Unicorn for it's scarce availability. It was only available in this 5-pack which had distribution throughout Australia and limited distribution in a handful of European countries (France, Germany, perhaps others).
    • Tomica resold Mini-Racers under license that were produced by Mattel. These appeared in their HED packaging in Japan. Their focus is now on their own 1:64 scale Disney Pixar CARS diecast cars.
    • Tomica produced two Mini-Haulers, Mack and Gale Beaufort (NexGen), that are 15cm in total length (cab + trailer). These are more appropriately scaled then the Mack and Gale mini-racers that are sized to meet blind box and 3,10&15 multi-pack packaging. Fans and Collectors have requested that TomyTomicaTakara produce a third Mini-Hauler, Grey, so that an Aeroliner/Luxoliner based hauler would be available for customized Piston Cup Team Haulers.
