Allinol
Allinol is a great alternative fuel's brand, born from an idea of the oil millionaire Sir Miles Axlerod. It should have been an alternative fuel that should have revolutionized the fuel market. It debuted in the World Grand Prix, but then a great team of spies (Finn McMissile, Holley Shiftwell, Mater, Siddeley, Stephenson, Leland Turbo, and Rod "Torque" Redline) has averted the plan of Axlerod. Really, Allinol was regular gasoline, which was modified to explode under the impulse of an electromagnetic beam.
History
In Cars 2, it is first believed that Allinol is the result of Miles Axlerod's researches to find the renewable, clean-burning energy source of the future. He believes it's the fuel that everybody should be using. To promote his new product, he organized the World Grand Prix. It is later revealed Allinol is in truth gasoline engineered to explode should it come into contact with an electromagnetic pulse, part of a plan to turn the world against alternative energy and have them rely on gasoline due to Axlerod and his lemon henchmen owning the largest untapped oil reserves in the world. Allinol is also used to kill Rod in the movie.
Trivia
- The name "Allinol" is likely to be a play on "all in all" and "ethanol." It is in this way similar to the name of Buy N Large, also derived of a language expression. Allinol's name is also inspired by American Ethanol, a fuel used in NASCAR races.
- The Allinol logo is a modified version of the logo used in The Land pavilion at Walt Disney World's EPCOT Center from 1982 to 2005.
- The fact that Allinol is used in endurance racing is likely a reference to the recent introduction of alternative fuels to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the American Le Mans Series. Some of the Le Mans Prototypes use alternative fuels in the ALMS as a part of the Green X Challenge championship. Also, in 2014, Formula One car engines were made more environmentally-friendly and fuel-efficient.
- Allinol's mascot is an incarnation of the Earth named Globie.
