Smokin' Sammy Smelter is Lightning McQueen's predecessor
Bio
Smokin’ Sammy Smelter was the original racer for the Rust-eze team. He later had a big accident and then retired after Lightning McQueen later replaced him. He later came to join the Radiator Springs race and to meet the new face for Rust-eze.

Sammy is painted blue, with red on his doors as well as the number 01
