History

He was a motorhome that lived in the United States and used nickname "Bud". He was long-time fan and spectator of Piston Cup Racing Series. He had a vast knowledge about various funny anecdotes about the racers and would usually trade them for a few litres of Dinoco oil. In 2006 he attended the Dinoco 400 race at the Motor Speedway of the South were he watched the race from the motorhome section near the Redneck Hill.

Physical description

Bud was a Luckeyliner Gentleman motorhome with white livery and a large mural depicting a Jackalope, a creature with orange and white fur with a porous, jumping on the desert. He had hazel eyes.

  • Bud's a classy rig and long-time Piston Cup loyalist who's got a funny anecdote for every racer on the track. For just a few liters of Dinoco oil, he'll probably spill a secret or two.

Trivia

  • Both Bud and his model manufacturer, Luckeyliner, are named after Bud Luckey. Luckey voiced the Jackalope from Pixar's 2003 short film Boundin', who is featured in a mural on Bud's back. Bud's description in Car Finder was based on Bud Luckley as well.
  • Bud's die-cast model was labeled as a Super Chase, meaning that only 4,000 were produced.
  • Although never shown in the movie, his front was reveled on the 28th page of one of the issues of The Official Magazine. Later on he was given an official artwork following the release of his diecast model by Mattel.
