Darrell Cartrip is a racing announcer for the Piston Cup.

Bio

Darrell Cartrip was first seen in Cars, as one of the two Piston Cup racing announcers.

Darrell is sporty and is considered very hilarious among fans. In Cars 2, Darrel was chosen to be one of the announcers of the world-famous World Grand Prix.

Darrell is still the Piston Cup announcer, and he may be the only one this time, as noted in Cars: The Video Game when he was the only one announcing the races, throughout the entire 2006 season.

Persona

Darrell is sporty with a great attitude, and is known by many as a rather funny announcer compared to others in the racing business.

Basis

Darrell is based on a 1975 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Livery

Darrell has a chrome body and rims, with a flame job design on his hood that continues along his doors. He has the number "17" painted in yellow on his doors.
