When Lightning McQueen decided to search Interstate 40 for Mack, he exits I-40, entering Ornament Valley, home to Radiator Springs. When a truck is turning that McQueen mistakes for Mack. The railroad crossing suddenly turns on, telling McQueen to stop, however when Lightning sees the train crossing, he speeds up to cross the tracks just in time.
Unidentified Flying Mater
When Mater is exiting Radiator Springs at midnight, the railroad crossing suddenly turns on. Mater sees that there aren't any trains coming, and that the crossing was malfunctioning due to Mator.
