Gameplay
The game's events will take course after the movie.
The game is set up with different missions, so players will play as one of the characters to complete them while avoiding obstacles and any other conflicts throughout the levels.

A storyline-oriented setting that allows players to unlock more levels as they beat more.
Balloon Pop
A minigame that tests flying skills and other aviation methods.
Free Flight
Exclusively to the console versions of the game, the setting that allows you to freely explore the Planes universe.
Air Rallies
Exclusively to console versions of the game, this mode allows players to race againts other characters as they fight to the finish.
Challenge
Exclusively to handheld versions, this mode is slightly harder, and provides objectives to complete.
Playable Characters
It has been confirmed there will be 10 playable characters throughout the game.
Marketing
The game will be released for Nintendo products, the Wii, Wii U, Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS.
