Mattel is one of the largest toy companies in the world, best known for lines like Hot Wheels, Thomas & Friends and Barbie.
They have produced the 1:55 scale diecast releases for Cars, Cars 2 and Cars Toons, and will also produce the Planes Diecast Line, slated for release in June. They have also made lesser known lines such as Micro Drifters, Action Agents and Mini Adventures.
Fisher-Price is also owned by them.
