Lightyear is a tires mark which all the Piston Cup racers use. The company also has their own blimp, who overflies every Piston Cup race taken.

- Lightyear is really a parody of the actual Goodyear company.
- Lightyear may also be a reference to one of Pixar's characters, Buzz Lightyear.
