His small size and the power-to-weight ratio made many of his racing opponents underestimate him, allowing him to accomplish his successes. His reputation of is racing successes made Nigel Gearsley request him to be his trainer and crew chef at the 2011 World Grand Prix racing event, which he agreed to.

Austin was a 1961 Mini Cooper city car. He had dark green livery with gray headlights and grille decals. He had chrome rims, and the Union Jack emblem painted on either of his doors. His eyes were brown.
