He was a professional race driver, who, in the 1950s, competed in the [[Piston Cup Racing Series]] with the number 4A, where he was sponsored by  [[Jen's Dinner]], [[Thorsen Trucking Co.]], [[Motor Oil]] and [[Southern Gold Gasoline]]. In 1954, he competed in the race at the [[Fireball Beach Course]], during which the [[Doc Hudson|Hudson Hornet]] had experienced a career-ending crash.

In ''[[Cars 3]]'' Floyd Morgan is shown to compete at the race at the [[Thomasville Speedway]] via a flashback. He was one of the several competitors the [[Doc Hudson|Hudson Hornet]] passed during the race. The Hudson Hornet would eventually jump over [[Leroy Heming]] to win the event.
